KEEP IT SIMPLE

We are still minimalists. Last week we looked up to rediscover ourselves. Today we simplify. This is a mantra I've been repeating for the last few months, I discovered it as a result of all the work I'm doing in myself. When I write in my diary the word that came out most often was "Simplify", make it simple. Many times we don't focus, we don't enjoy the present or we don't see the solution because we don't go to the minimum, to the pure essence of things. In fact, thinking about what to write this week I said to myself: "simplify, do something simple and have fun". And voila, here you have a magazine with more than 30 illustrations. As simple as that.

Next week we open in Living For Breakfast our first virtual cafe, yes as you read it: a whole virtual cafe with cups, coffee machine, chairs, marble tables, freshly brewed coffee.... EVERYTHING. Why? Well, because we are going to make between these drawn walls a circle of artists to talk about "The artist's way" by Julia Cameron. It is a book that we already talked about LINK and that has changed the lives of many people (you don't need to be an artist) and I hope it inspires you a lot. One way to read it is to create groups and share it once a week. It will be on Sundays on the Instagram profile @livingforbreakfast. And yes, we will feature celebrated artists and their mythical knowledge about art. Don't miss it! Next Sunday we feature coffee and this group of scrumptious croissants.

Get your hands on the book this week! It is in several languages all over the world.

On June 5th we present the book and the group and from here we inaugurate the first week.

THE GOOD WEATHER ARRIVES

The good weather arrives, the days are longer but you don't have vacations, maybe never, maybe not yet. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy your city, reinvent it, dress for summer, make your own mental summer space and enjoy it. And clothes, fashion brands, their personality lies in their symbolism. The city then becomes a game of blocks and we leave the firms, stripped of their logos, as signs on impossible buildings. You have seen how curious it is that without their logo or their usual presentation, their names continue to represent all their values in our minds. You won't notice that none of them is in their corporate typography. It's a very funny game.

Today that we celebrate simplicity we invent a fashion editorial that boils down to its essence: to be happy being yourself.

DON'T WATCH TRAILERS

Movies are made to be seen the way they come to you. When I saw "Sweet Bean" my heart was breaking at every shot and it kept coming back together again. There's a trick in filmmaking and that's to put unpleasant or ugly things after pretty things, to collapse your mind and increase the effect of the storytelling. In this film everything is beautiful. Tokyo under the cherry blossoms, a simple food stand, characters who seem to have nothing to tell. And then: their lives. And all explained around the preparation of a sweet. There is something healing in every bite we take of food. There is something of creating the world in every meal we prepare.
