"DISFRUTO - AUDIOKO REMIX".

Carla Morrison, Audioiko.

IMPORTANT NOTE This is not a scientifically proven article nor am I a psychologist or doctor. These are all personal thoughts and experiences. If for any reason you don't feel good about yourself and you think it affects your self-esteem and well-being, please talk to someone close to you and to a specialist. There are always solutions for everything and you will be well soon. With that said, let's enjoy breakfast!

LESS OPINION AND MORE LIVING

Let's start things where they really should start, at the end. Summer arrives and with it comes the celebration of us and our clothes getting naked in public. Your pants get shorter and you see yourself naked in public places: pools, beaches, terraces and the street itself. It's time to show your skin and no, your skin and your body are not bad. Everything else is wrong. This is my conclusion: less opinion and more let people live their lives.

"Your opinion is not my reality."

Dr. Steve Maraboli.

YOU CAN BE YOURSELF

There are as many body types in the world as there are people in it. Absolutely none of them are flawed. The problem we have is that we lack referents of success of our own body type. In audiovisual media, movies, series, advertising... in everything, there is only one type of body and one type of success. We don't have a referent to tell us: you are ok, you can be you, you can be successful being you. Instead, we develop phobias, rejections and low self-esteem while we hear people telling us: "accept yourself". We hear that meanwhile we don't have tools to accept us, even the majority of us & people we cross everyday don't have that "perfect media" body.

When I hear people telling: "accept yourself", I would like to answer them: "You accept me with my body".

"Each individual woman’s body demands to be accepted on its own terms."

Gloria Steinem.

You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn't worked.

Try approving of yourself and see what happens.

Louise Hay.

YOU DEFINE BEAUTY YOURSELF.

Society doesn't define your beauty.

Lady Gaga.

We’ve forgotten what a regular body looks like.

There are people out there who are struggling, and I’m struggling, and it’s okay to come to terms with realizing it’s going to be a bit of a journey.

Chrissy Teigen.

A MONTH TO BE YOURSELF

28 TH June is LGTBIQA+ pride international day. Beyond being a celebration of this collective, it means that all people have more rights and opportunities to be yourself. By accepting other people's reality we accept our own, whoever we are.

CHANGE YOPUR BODY NOT YOUR SELF-ESTEEM.

Just because you would like to have another body doesn't mean you don't love the one you have now. Your body right now is the precious place where you live. love it, love yourself.
